Best vacation ever

Only one day left on the coast.  I can't describe the beauty of this area - the combination of the pine trees, rock cliffs and ocean waves splashing against the shore. I'm in my personal heaven.

So far I've taken over 400 pictures.  And I still have 4 days of vacation left.

We've spent some quality time with the Porter's in Vancouver, stayed in a beach house on the Oregon coast for a week with Ryan's parents, his sister Erin, and several adorable nieces and nephews, and tomorrow we will head back to Tiff's house for more fun.  I wish it would never end.

When we get back home, I will be met with major heat/humidity, paying bills, and preparing my kids to start school the following week.  I hate August, because it means my kids have to hit the books and spend most of their day away from me.  I love that they enjoy school and are involved in many extra-curricular activities, but I miss them.  And I miss the slower days of summer when we can hang out in our jammies all day, laughing together. Summer is chaotic in many ways, with all the kids being home, but I much prefer it to the crazy schedules during the school year.

I have the best kids in the entire world.  They are so much fun and I wish I could just bottle up the laughter I've heard on this trip.  Add that to the fact that I have an amazing and handsome husband, who has been able to leave work behind and focus 100% on his family, and I feel like I'm living in a Norman Rockwell painting.

The time, effort and money we put into our family vacations is worth every single minute and penny.
