Sigh. He's four.

I've tried to freeze time, but it's not working and my baby keeps growing up.  It's been four years since I went to the hospital (as big as an elephant) and held my baby boy for the first time.  Since we are busy packing and getting ready for our vacation, we had Logan's party a couple weeks ago, but still wanted to celebrate a bit yesterday.  We got pizza for dinner, and washed it down with delicious ice cream cones.  Then Brevan and I went to the church for mutual while Ryan took all the other kids to the pool.  Logan has been excited to show his daddy that he can now stand in the big pool and "swim"!  This isn't exactly the best picture, but I set the timer on my camera and it's the best we could get at the ice cream restaurant.
I will have to do the interview with my boy after our vacation, because we are leaving on a jet plane in 20 hours!  That means getting up at 2:30 am, leaving by 3:30 and being to the airport at 4:00 am.  We will be spending the first few days with Tiffany's family in Vancouver, WA, then driving down to a beach house in Depot Bay, OR for a week with some of Ryan's family.  After driving back up to Tiff's house, Ryan and Brevan will fly home (so Ryan can get back to work and Brevan can attend the schedule-pickup-day at the middle school) but me and the other kids get to spend a few more days with the Porters.  Yay!

I hear ya on the stopping time thing. Tage just turned 3 on Saturday, and my baby is one month old tomorrow! Not fair!! I have seriously cried over this. And we are having the same heat wave. Texas is on it's way to breaking the record of consecutive days over 100 deg. The heat index is supposed to be at 110 this week. I'm so glad I'm not still pregnant! Have fun on your trip and be safe!
