There aint no doubt, I love this land

God bless the USA!

We are feeling especially proud this year of our country and the service men and women who protect us.  While teaching an impromptu Gospel Essentials lesson yesterday, Ryan broke into tears as he spoke of the pride he feels to live in such a blessed country.  We are very aware that most of the world is not as blessed/lucky as we are.

So I've completely turned into one of those people who takes pictures of food.  It's just so much fun to cook and bake, so I have to show some of my best creations.  I made the next delectable items to take to a 4th of July party we attended today.

After a very fun day of swimming, eating, eating more, eating until we were sick and hanging out with good friends, we headed over to watch the large firework display at the Johnsen's house.

I just think these lanterns are the coolest thing ever.  We are definitely buying some of those next year!

Ryan is apparently drunk on too much Diet Coke/Mt. Dew in this picture.  A day of stuffing yourself with junk food can do that to a daddy.  Logan kept his ears plugged during the whole firework display.  It was a little sad, however, when we realized this is the first time in 12 years that we haven't had a small child cry of fear while watching the fireworks.  Our little rascals are growing up.

What a perfect day to celebrate our love for our country, family and friends.

I LOVE the lanterns. Tell me all about them and where to get them too. We had a HUGE turn out at our neighborhood party and it would be fun to have them.
