The Porter's have the game Just Dance for their Wii, so we all got in on the dancing fun! Brynlie was especially enthralled with the game and hasn't stopped talking about it since. I got some awesome pictures of Tiffany dancing to "Wake Me Up Before You Gogo", but then the kids/Tiff got some pretty embarrassing pictures of me and Ryan doing a couples dance to "Hotstuff". There are even blackmail videos that were taken, but I will NOT be uploading those!
One of the funny things I learned while staying with Tiff's family is that I may take frugality to an extreme. My kids thought the Porter's house was the COOLEST place they have ever been! They said things such as, "Aubrey has every art supply ever invented, and her mom even lets her keep them in her room," "they have more than one DVD player; I think they have like 4!", "the Porter's have every board game ever created," and "their backyard is better than a park!" Tiffany often laughed at me when I said things such as, "If they want that video game, they will have to wait for a birthday." She told me to stop being so cheap and just buy things sometimes if they would be fun for my family. It was actually good for me to see, because I sometimes get caught up in trying too hard to teach my kids financial responsibility and forget to let them have fun. Here's proof of my cheapness: I talked to my mom (the person who taught me to be frugal) a few days before my trip and told her how excited I was to have a new suitcase. She asked me why it was so exciting and I answered, "because it has WHEELS." After laughing, she said, "You just now got yourself a rolling suitcase? Seriously? Wow, I have such frugal daughters." The saddest part of the suitcase story is that it was only one year ago when I allowed Ryan to get a rolling suitcase for his business trips. For the first 4 years we lived here, he carried a dufflebag through the airport! Alright, so maybe I am a little pathetic sometimes.
I would just like to add to this post that I BEAT RYAN on the game, even though I am the worst dancer alive. But wow, looking at these pictures sure is giving me the motivation to hit the gym again.

That looks like a blast! It is tough being the frugal one of the bunch. Have fun if you end up getting a fun game like for the whole family.
