It's hard for me to put into words how much I love these girls. I was blessed to have wonderful friends growing up and we still keep in touch, even though we have all moved around the country. These girls are responsible for helping me be a (fairly) well-behaved child and teenager! Anytime I got a little out of line, they were right there to put me back on track. I love that we can go years without seeing each other, and then the second we get together it's like no time has passed at all. Jami commented this night that she was proud that all of us were still married and enjoying our lives as wives and moms. I couldn't agree more. Life has taken us all in different directions, but I'm so glad to know that we are all still working toward the same goals. I still often dream that I'm with these girls, because our bond was so tight growing up. Now, don't get me wrong . . .we definitely had our moments when we fought like cats and dogs, but we forgave each other and moved on because we knew we were blessed to have such close friendships.
This evening, we met at a restaurant in Salt Lake City for dinner. Then we drove to Janee's brand-new house and spent the rest of the evening reminiscing and laughing. Until moving to Missouri, where I have some very close friendships, I hadn't had friends as close as these girls.
