26. I'm high-maintenance about a few things. I will pay good money for great jeans, a good haircut/color and food.
27. I love to eat out, and so does my husband. It is our favorite thing to do on our dates. I love to eat delicious food at a favorite restaurant while we catch up on each other's lives.
28. I love to shop at garage sales for my kid's clothes. I can get name-brand clothes in perfect condition, and my kids think it's fun to come with me.
29. I want to serve a mission with Ryan someday. He served his first mission in Chile, and we think that we'd love to go there together.
30. I had never changed a diaper until Brevan was born. I was such a bad babysitter. One time I was watching 3 small kids, and one was still in diapers. When he pooped, I just figured I'd put him to bed and leave the poopy diaper for his parents to deal with when they got home. I honestly thought that they'd think he'd just barely pooped. I'm sure it was caked on there pretty good by the time that poor guy got a clean diaper.
31. For many years I thought I wanted to be an accountant someday. Now that job would just bore me to tears.
32. I only balance my checkbook every couple weeks, when I'm paying bills.
33. The jobs I have had so far in life are: housecleaner for people in my ward, salesclerk at TJMaxx, cash office associate at TJMaxx, accounting assistant at Checkrite, salesclerk at Dixon Paper Store, therapist for my autistic nephew, office peon at Vencor and Mom.
34. I love photography and would love to learn more about it someday.
35. I love to paint walls. It's the cheapest way to give a room a new look. The only problem is that I don't have much time for painting anymore.
36. I always thought I'd marry a guy with dark hair and skin. I imagined my kids looking a bit latin for some reason. Instead I married someone with blonde hair (when he had it) and blue eyes.
37. One of my favorite places to be is on the beach in Depot Bay, Oregon. That is the most peaceful place I've ever been.
38. When I was three I had a hernia operation, when I was 10 I had kidney-reconstructive surgery (and was in Primary Children's hospital for 2 weeks. My kidneys still give me problems all the time), and when I was 12 (and then again when I was 14) I had facial reconstructive surgery after a bad car accident.
39. I'm living the exact life I thought I would be living when I'm 31. I always thought I'd probably have 4 kids, and I wanted to be done having them by the time I was 30. The only thing I'm doing differently than I expected is being a stay-at-home mom. Growing up, I never thought I'd feel fulfilled if I stayed home with my kids. While pregnant with my first child I realized there was nothing I wanted to do more than be at home to raise my kids.
40. I can fall asleep faster than anyone I know. If I watch a movie/tv after about 9:00, it's guaranteed that I will fall asleep without even realizing it. I worry that someday I'll get in a bad car accident because my brain will just "turn off" and fall asleep while I'm driving.
41. I have never wanted a tattoo or more than one set of earrings in my ears.
42. I wish I'd applied myself more and improved my sports skills. I would love to play volleyball or basketball.
43. I can't stand to shave my legs, and only shave a couple times a week during the winter. I figure no one else can see my legs when I'm wearing pants every day.
44. I wish I was a more patient mom. But I don't think there's any mom that thinks she's perfected that skill. I'm actually proud of me for the patience I have. I don't believe in spanking or hitting kids, and timeout/taking privileges away has always worked great with our kids. I just hate when I lose my cool and start yelling. It's not a pretty thing on me.
45. I dream of being an amazing singer. I would love to come out on a stage in a beautiful gown and sing for a sold-out stadium. Ya, it's never gonna happen, so I'll just keep dreaming.
46. I can't wait to be a grandma. I think Ryan and I will be some dang fun grandparents.
47. I am very scatter-brained much of the time. I lose my keys, wallet, important papers, etc. all the time.
48. I feel like I've learned from every trial I've gone through. I hope I can help others in the future who encounter some of those same trials.
49. I am horrible at remembering names and faces, because I don't pay attention to those details. But I'm awesome at remembering numbers. I can remember most birthdays, phone numbers and addresses that I've known at some point in my life. Such as, I still remember the phone numbers of my childhood friends, and I tell Ryan when it's one of his former roommate's birthday.
50. I love writing down the little details about life. I wrote in a journal every day until I got married, then I completed 27 scrapbooks over the years before starting this blog. I wish I did a better job of writing things down at this stage of life, but this is the best I can do for now.

I'm glad you've started this. I seriously love reading these lists. So fun to remember things about you and learn new ones.
I think I checked your blog daily for a week without anything new. Then I miss one day and I'm essays behind! Good for you!
BTW, you are just as much a tender mercy for me. I think the Lord knew that we would need each other! You amaze me and I just love you!!!!
