This week took my husband on a business trip to Miami.
Lindsey has been in and out of doctor appts. all week. Chest xrays, steroids, breathing treatments every 2 hours, nonstop coughing due to awful asthma attacks, high fever. She missed the entire week of school and is still struggling. But no pneumonia in her chest yet, thank goodness.
Lindsey even had a night when she felt she couldn't breath and sat gasping for air in my bed. I was terrified and called Ryan in Miami in tears. I then called my wonderful neighbor, who happens to be a priesthood holder and doctor (good combo) to come give her a blessing at 2:15 a.m. The priesthood blessing brought peace to both me and Lindsey.
Ryan then got on a plane and came home early to take care of us. The doorbell rang and there stood our saving grace.
Brynlie is feeling much better after a rough week. I took both girls to the movie theater today, just so we could get out of the house for a while.
I felt like death. Then felt a bit better. Then felt like death again. The doctor says we have the influenza b virus. It's nasty stuff.
Friends helped out, visiting teachers brought meals. I am grateful for all of it, and hope we are fully functioning again soon!
