5-minute update

We've been super busy lately, and I've meant to get on here and write an update, but I literally haven't had a moment of spare time. I don't even have a moment of spare time right now, but I'll give the quick update.

Primary. *sigh* Lots of changes happening, and I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. I've decided that being Primary President is the same as being an HR manager. You make sure the positions are filled (or un-filled, if necessary), and deal with everyone's complaints and issues. I'm still enjoying the calling (on most days) though, and like a good challenge anyway.

Brevan is having friend issues. His "one and only friend" is angry at him, and I've had to get the school involved to help resolve the issues.

Brynlie is either the model child, or crying (or should I call it WAILING) that her life is over because of very important issues, such as getting chocolate ice cream on her coat (making "all my friends laugh at me!!").

Lindsey and Brynlie both got cute haircuts last weekend. Lindsey's haircut is just adorable on her. She has become much more independent lately, which is a good thing, but makes me sad in some weird way.

Logan has become a happy-go-lucky little guy. Tantrums are rare, and he is just bursting with smiles and funny sentences. He is also quite smart, if I do say so myself. He amazes us with his vocabulary. Last week he drew a rainbow (did I mention he's also becoming a great artist?) and said, "Daddy, this is a rainbow. But it is also an arco iris. OK? Rainbow AND arco iris in Spanish." After leaving the nursery room at church on Sunday, he walked up to me and said, "Jesus has friends that are hungry. And Jesus likes fish. So he took his fish and gave it to all his friends and they weren't hungry ANY MORE!" I'm so proud. Oh, and he also calls adult men "dudes." One could argue that it's not respectful to call people like the Bishop and local missionaries "dude," but he's so cute that we don't care if it's disrespectful.

Ryan and I leave for Cancun in just over 2 weeks! We are staying at an all-inclusive couples-only resort. I. Can't. Wait.

I always thought the hardest part of being Primary President was managing the "staff". It's like a constant sales pitch and bribery to keep them happy and doing their job. I know its not the way to think about it but that's how I saw it.
Have fun in Cancun!
