Spring Break Fun

When Ryan and I got back from our trip, all I wanted to do was spend some good quality time with my kids.  Lucky for me, spring break started just a day later, so the kids were home for 11 days straight!  These are just some of the many activities we did during our time together.

I can't remember why I was being "the worst mom in the world" this day, but Lindsey wrote her thoughts in chalk all over the driveway.  Haha!

Many of the neighborhood girls planned a dance that they performed in our front yard for all the parents.  The dance was set to a rocking rendition of "Popcorn Popping."  After the dance, one of my neighbors said, "Why are they singing about popcorn on trees?"  I laughed and told her it's a Mormon thing.  The girls that participated were:  Lindsey Coe, Alison, Lindsey Ellefsen, Chloe, Madelyn, Brynlie, Erin and Laura.

My kids invited some friends to the park one day, and we met other friends while there.  Lindsey and Logan were excited to bring Holland and Dominick along with us.  It's so amazing that the kids have been wearing shorts for about 5 weeks now, since the temperatures have been anywhere from mid-60's to mid-80's.  What a spring!

Brenda brought a kite to the park!  The kids were so excited that it shot right up into the sky!

Brynlie had many playdates with friends.  On this day, Jillian, Madelyn and Bryn sunbathed while reading about the latest pre-teen gossip in their magazines.

Brynlie had a "late-over" one night, with Laura, Madelyn and Jillian.  They had great fun and managed to get nail polish all over walls, carpet and clothing.

We saw "The Hunger Games" on the opening day in the theater!  Ryan, Brevan and I have all read the books and were excited when the movie was announced.  We rode with Christine, Josh, Will and Parker and got a yummy lunch before the show.  We all agreed the movie was great!  Madelyn and Bryn babysat the little kids together at home.
