I could never completely catch up on all the things that have kept us busy lately. Between the temple cultural practices, Ryan coaching Lindsey's soccer team, Logan starting soccer, the girls choir practices and performances, inviting friends to the temple open house and securing tickets for them (I will be going 5 times in a 2-week period), school projects, preparing for the dance recital in a few weeks, enjoying the beautiful weather, Brevan volunteering with the Special Olympics again (helping the special needs kids run track and field), Brevan preparing for his piano recital, trying to get some yard work done before the summer heat kicks in, and attending numerous other activities . . . . . .I haven't had a lot of time to blog.
Here are some more pictures from recent activities:
Brevan created this house for a school project. It had really working lights (with light switches) in each room!
While Ryan and I were still in Puerto Rico, Brynlie had her "Evening of the Experts" with the other Beyond Basics kids. She studied Broadway Musicals this year, and had many projects to go along with her project. Will Napier took these pictures for me, since his family was nice enough to attend the event to make Brynlie happy.
I found these pictures on Ryan's phone. He had taken them last January, when he took the girls ice skating. It was even 60 degrees on this day!
This picture made me laugh! I would love to see what happened in the next second, as this little pink-coated girl slammed into Brynlie!
While substituting at the elementary school last week, Christine found this envelope and note on the teacher's desk. She thought they were so sweet that she took pictures of them to send to me.
Last week I was driving Dominick back home (and then picking up Brevan to get him to piano, picking up the girls from school and dropping off Lindsey at soccer while taking Brynlie to the optical shop to get her new glasses before dance class), when this Sheriff pulled me over. I was polite but annoyed that he had messed up my super busy schedule, and we would all be late to our activities. He laughed at me, then spent forever in his car writing up a ticket. But he told me he wouldn't give me a ticket for speeding, but he did give me a ticket for not having my current insurance card in the van. He told me to slow down and enjoy the day a bit more. Logan and Dominick were laughing in the backseat, so I couldn't help laughing with them as I took the Sheriff's advice.
Just a random picture I took of Brenda one day. I call her a Nature Nerd, but I think she took her love for nature a little too far this day! I could NEVER get this close to a wolf spider!!
