After many weeks of begging, I finally took my girls to see the new High School Musical movie in the theater yesterday. Brynlie could barely keep herself in her seat for the whole show. She kept wanting to get up and dance and cheer. Lindsey, on the other hand, immediately fell asleep when the previews were finished. I have to admit that the movie was pretty fun. Cheezy, yes, but I enjoyed the choreography and the dancing. And mostly I just enjoyed watching Brynlie. I was thinking how funny it will be when she grows up and says, "Do you remember how much I loved High School Musical when I was little?" The same way I feel about . . .oh gosh, so many things . . .Tiffany (the singer), Debbie Gibson, Molly Ringwald in all of her 80's movies. I'm just so glad my girls had fun. Ryan also took some of our kids to see Madagascar 2 in the theater yesterday (I realize that we could have bought both movies on DVD with the money we spent on our tickets, popcorn, drinks, Junior Mints - all of the extras being bought by the spoiling Daddy, of course).

Which showing did you go to? We could have gone together!! Jillian really liked the movie also. I couldn't believe how much older all those actors looked -- they were definitely college age, not high school! And I agree that it was cheesy, but fun.
