A few things

A few things I wanted to include today:
* The girls had a "parent watch week" at their dance studio. We got to see them practice their routines and show us the moves they've learned. Below is Brynlie showing her "hip hop walk." Ya, it was like watching a ballerina try to do hiphop, but still dang cute! She just doesn't quite have that punk attitude! She is taking hiphop and cheerleading.

And here's Lindsey showing her ballet dance. She has become quite a dedicated dancer, just like her big sister. She pays attention and tries so hard the whole dance class. She is learning ballet and tap. I admit that my favorite part is seeing her dressed in her tutu every week! Although this week the girls both dressed themselves, so the outfits are a little funky!

* The weather here has been incredible for about a week. Today I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt because it's 75 degrees outside. The girls are in their swimsuits, running through a sprinkler in the backyard. You'd never know it's November already!

* I started attending a Book Club/Support Group for parents of gifted children. It was recommended to me by Brevan's "Beyond Basics" teacher. It was a great forum for parents to discuss the topics that concern or interest them. Besides having some of my feelings validated, it was nice to have an intelligent discussion with other adults. I sometimes struggle with the fact that I've felt like my brain has shrunk since becoming a stay-at-home-mom. I wouldn't ever want to be anywhere else right now than with my kids, but sometimes I miss having intellectual conversations with other adults. I'm excited to get to know the other parents in the group.

* Ryan and I went out with some good friends on Saturday night. We went to a nice restaurant and enjoyed the time with them. It's amazing how relaxing it is to leave the kids at home and spend a fun evening out with friends! We missed our weekly date last week because we were still with the kids in California. Just one dateless week and I was already feeling the strain! I love date night with Ryan.

* I have to add a quick comment about how fun my Logan-berry is. Ryan and I have just fallen head-over-hills in love with that baby lately! He has been so much happier since learning to walk and he throws all sorts of sounds together to come up with the most interesting "sentences!" He only says three words regularly right now: bye, boo (the cutest because he jumps out and yells it!) and ow (alright, that one's pretty cute too, because of the very serious look he gets on his face while showing us his owie).

I bet it is so fun watching your girls in dance class. I think Ellie would love to take a dance class. I need to sign her up for one.

Sat was SO much fun, even if I did screw up and not get us into the growing popular Garozzo's...apparently people are starting to catch on to our best kept secret...bugger. LOL

But the high end hot pockets were just as good! =D
