Brevan (as he walked in the door from school): Mom, today was an historic day.
Mom: Wow, why is that?
Brevan: For the first time in my whole life, a girl who is crushing on me is also the girl I am crushing on.
Mom: (giggles) OK. (tries to act serious) Who is this girl?
Brevan: Kayla. Today she was smiling at me and blushing all the time. I went to toss a volleyball to her and (mom didn't quite understand the whole situation, but apparently it was a big love connection on the volleyball court).
Mom: Well, how fun for you. I'm glad it was such an historic day for you!
