. . .and all through the house, not a creature was sleeping at 10 p.m. because of all the cake they had put in their mouths. The children weren't nestled or snug in their beds because visions of My Little Pony danced in their heads.
Lindsey's birthday isn't actually until tomorrow, but Ryan is leaving on a business trip in the morning so we celebrated tonight. First we took her out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (and all she ordered was a salad . . .we could have done that a lot cheaper somewhere else!) Then we came back and let her open presents. Brevan spent his allowance money to get her the Birthday Party My Little Pony. Brynlie spent her allowance to get her a pair of sparkly princess sunglasses. Ryan and I got her a Fancy Nancy tutu that she can wear to dance class and a Barbie head with hairclips and pretty bows. My Mom and Dad gave her the My Little Pony Amusement Park, which was the hit of the night! Then Lindsey got to blow out the candles on her flower birthday cake. Lindsey is such a sweet little doll. Every time she opened a present she would run into our arms and hug us as tight as she could while yelling, "oh, thank you SO much!! I just LOVE it!!" Tomorrow I'll post more about our adorable 4-year-old, so you can get to know her.

I love birthdays. We all have birthdays this fall and I'm getting so excited to get out and shop for the kids. It is fun seeing them light up when they open their presents.
She IS adorable! You will be fighting off the boys when both your girls get older. Happy birthday Lindsey!
