After many weeks of hard work and long hours, Brevan and Brynlie performed in the play 101 Dalmatians last Friday and Saturday night. Brynlie is really missing the play practices, but Brevan is feeling relieved that the production is over. I have to admit that I will enjoy reclaiming our evenings, instead of spending hours at the high school each day.
The kids did such a great job! I was so proud of both my little thespians, and only wish their grandparents and cousins could have watched them perform. Brynlie was one of the main dogs named Lucky, and Brevan was one of Cruella DeVil's henchmen, named Horace. They both had amazing confidence while reciting their lines and sang beautifully to every song.
Most of the pictures I took during the performances didn't turn out well because of the lighting, but I was able to capture some great moments. This is one of Brynlie's first lines, when she stands up and yells to the other dogs, "Are you ready, everyone? Here we go!"
This is where Brevan is stealing the puppies by tempting them with delicious Kanine Krunchies treats. Brynlie is eagerly trying to grab the treats from Brevan. One of the final acts, where Cruella and her henchmen are caught by the London police.
Brevan tossing his hat at the end of the show.
And doing one final bow!Bryn with two of her best friends, Jillian and Madelyn. I wanted to get Megan in the picture too, but the poor thing was throwing up in the bathroom due to intense stage fright.
Jasper, Cruella and Horace doing their best "evil" looks.
I told Brevan that his grandpa's are going to be jealous of his awesome hat!
I can't wait to find out what production the Kearney Theater will put on next year. I hope my kids keep up their enthusiasm for acting!
