Bryn's baptism day

Our sweet Brynlie Janae was baptised last Saturday, the 2nd of January. It was so exciting to have Ryan's parents in town to help celebrate the special day!

We set up a table outside the font room, with pictures of Brynlie, a book for guests to sign, and programs.
The beautiful girl with her Daddy on her special day. We bought the dress, bow and socks last summer while in Utah. I bought the white shoes the day before the baptism. Brynlie is wearing the necklace and bracelet her Daddy gave her as a baptism present. The necklace has a diamond, a pearl and a charm that says "love."

I've heard before that picture shouldn't be taken in the Relief Society room or the font area, but Bishop didn't have a problem with it, so our friend Tony snapped a bunch of pictures while I was busy getting Brynlie ready. Ryan and his Dad were stressing about getting the water warmed up. Ryan showed up at the church 2 hours early to fill the font, but it kept running out of hot water, so they boiled water on the stove in the kitchen and dumped it in the font. It was still quite cold for the actual baptism!
Some of the guests who came for the baptism; Johnsen's, Myers, Sheri Brown, Pam and Tanner Marion, Bishop and Kim Thorne, Haney's and Meredith Burnham.
Bishop Thorne!

Brevan, Brynlie and Lindsey sang "I Am A Child of God" while Roy (Ryan's Dad) played the piano. They did a great job, but by the end of the musical number I could tell Brynlie was upset. She quickly walked out into the hallway as soon as the song was finished and burst into tears. She was so nervous to have Ryan baptize her. I thought she would be nervous about having someone dunk her under water (like I was for my baptism) but she is quite shy and didn't like having everyone watch her. I tried to calm her down before she walked down in to the font. Ryan could tell she was crying and gave her a big hug before he baptised her.

After the baptism and confirmation. I forgot to bring a brush, so her hair was a disaster for the rest of the day.
I'm so proud of my daughter, for her desire to be baptised and her dedication to making good choices. I'm also proud of my husband for his ability to baptise my children because he honors his priesthood.
