My friend, Brenda is famous!! She is on the front page of the Kearney Courier, our local newspaper, talking about the music group she runs. And I was interviewed for the article! Check it out at this link.
Speaking of Brenda, I have a very cute story. Brynlie is learning about Heroes in her Beyond Basics class, and all the kids needed to think of someone that they consider their hero. Most of the kids picked policemen, firemen or soldiers. Brynlie picked Brenda!! When I asked Brynlie why she considers Brenda her hero, her response was, "Because she is such a good Mom! She does such fun things with her kids and she's always so happy!" How neat that she thinks the best thing to be is a MOM! Now Brenda gets to speak to Brynlie's class all about being a mom. How fun!
There's been a lot on my mind this week, and some friend's who need extra help, so yesterday I completely forgot to pick up Lindsey from preschool. The teacher called me 20 minutes after school got out. I was so embarrassed! When I got there, the teachers were outside with her, and they acted very annoyed. I offered to pay them extra money, and their response was, "Well, we plan on it next time." I have a feeling they think I'm scatterbrained. They are right.
I forgot to mention a few weeks ago that Brynlie bore her testimony in Sacrament for the first time! She walked up and gave a very sweet, honest testimony with a smile on her face. Brevan and Ryan also bore their testimonies the same day. The bad news? I was busy setting up chairs in the Primary room and missed both of my kid's testimonies! I happened to walk by right when Ryan started his testimony, so at least I was able to hear that one. I'm so proud of my family for developing their testimonies and having the courage to stand up and share it with everyone.
I have a NEW bad smell in my van, to go along with the chili. On the way home from the grocery store today, I heard a bunch of cracking noises behind me. Lindsey gasped and said, "Mom! All the eggs flew out of the carton!" I had cracked eggs everywhere.
I got the kid's pictures taken a couple days ago, and I can't wait to see how they turned out! Logan was not being cooperative at all, so I had to hide behind the photographer and play peek-a-boo with him. Then he gave some adorable smiles!
I am not impressed with Craigslist. I listed some couches, a desk, a chair, pictures, a rug and a TV on there last week. The pictures and TV sold quickly, with no problems. But the couches were "sold" to someone in Texas, who has been looking for "those exact couches!" Come to find out, we've been scammed. But at least we still have the couches and didn't fall for their scam. So I need to go on and list them again. I guess I'm ornery about stuff like this, because I would much rather just give stuff away and have it be gone that day. I hate doing things like garage sales, just hoping to get rid of my junk. I have no patience once I know I want to de-clutter.
Brynlie's awesome Beyond Basics teacher told me that I could come along on their field trip and bring Lindsey and Logan with me. I was so excited because usually teachers don't allow younger siblings, so I'm not able to attend very many of the fun events. We were supposed to go to a beautiful Nature Sanctuary on Monday, but it got rained out. What a bummer! Hopefully I can attend one of her other field trips this year.
Tonight is Enrichment night at the church, which means I don't have to cook and I get a short break from Mommy duties. Hurray!

Sounds like a fun and hectic busy life you lead Ali! We sure miss you. :)
I'm sensing a trend on your whole car situation. It seems to me that a year ago you were concentrating on mangling the exterior. Now you are doing a bang-up job (he he he) on the interior!!!
Brynlie is the cutest - what a great personality!
