A couple moments I wanted to post about:
The other day Lindsey was singing the song, "We are a happy family" over and over. After she named all the people in our family that love each other, she stopped and said, "You know what, Mom? We ARE a happy family! Everyone except you. You're grumpy." I turned around in shock and said, "you think I'm always grumpy?" and when she saw my reaction she said, "ummm, I was just kidding." Wow, did I feel like a loser mom after that!! She's been trying to make it up to me ever since. ;)
Then the other day Ryan and I were watching a session of conference on the TV upstairs, and we didn't come down the stairs until the closing prayer was being said. When we walked into the kitchen, we saw Brevan and Brynlie listening to conference on the nearby TV with their eyes closed and arms folded for the prayer. Lindsey was pouting with her eyes open, but her arms were still folded - I'm sure the result of being lectured by her older siblings to be reverent! Ryan and I looked at each other and joined them in folding our arms for the closing prayer. Pretty sad when your kids are your examples.
Also, we learned yesterday that the temple that President Monson announced for the KC area is being built in an area called Shoal Creek, right outside of our ward boundaries! We will have a temple within 15 minutes of our house!! Everyone here is still in shock at the news. It will be so much nicer than the 4 hour drive to St. Louis or 5 hour drive to Nauvoo! We can't wait!!

Will's prayers just completely blow my mind. It is amazing how much of an example they are! And I'm afraid I might fall into that "grumpy" category more often than I would ever want to. It's tough being a mom but it's good to remember what it is truly all about! Congrats on the temple!!!! You remind me that I have no excuse and I've been able to go a couple of times these last few weeks. I love it!
I am so excited for you guys! you guys are wonderful, and you have the best kids!
I am so excited for you guys! 3 of my good friends are receiving new temples close to their homes as a result of Sunday's announcement and it just reminds me how much we take it for granted here in utah!!!
