Halloween!

I love Halloween because it is a holiday centered around candy (one of my main food groups) and excited kids.  Plus it means my favorite time of year has arrived!  I love the weather in fall, plus most of our family birthdays, finished off by Thanksgiving and Christmas.

As the room parent for Logan's Kindergarten classroom, I was in charge of the Halloween party.  Luckily, there are a couple other moms who were willing to help me because I was feeling overwhelmed with all the responsibilities I took on the past couple months.

This is Lindsey's 3rd grade class:

And this is Logan's cute Kindergarten class, including his sweet teacher, Mrs. Schuman.

These pictures were taken by another mom who attended the party.  I helped the kids make skeletons out of Q-tips while the other moms directed games.  The party was a hit!

After school, I played the part of Mean Mama by requiring my girls to thoroughly clean their bedrooms after they had lied about the rooms the day before.  Many tears were shed in the fulfillment of my threat to make them stay home on Halloween night.

Brynlie took off with friends after finishing her chores, and then Ryan took Lindsey and Logan trick-or-treating.  Brevan played the part of door-greeter, because I had to go to SCHOOL.  We weren't lucky enough to have our college classes get cancelled on Halloween night, so I begrudgingly drove to class.

Brynlie (not pictured) dressed up as a nerd, Logan was a gladiator and Lindsey was a gypsy.  Brevan dressed up as himself and danced to loud music while he waited for trick-or-treaters to ring the doorbell (seriously - I have an awesome video).

Oh and we can't forget this little cutie, who dressed up as CinderBella!  All the Halloween chaos wore her out and she slept while the kids were running from house to house begging for candy.
