- Swim Conference was on July 14th, so the swim season is officially over. The swim banquet was held last Wednesday, and Ryan attended with the kids since I had already signed up to help clean the temple that evening.
- We spent the 3rd and 4th of July with good friends, and were once again amazed at the type of fireworks that are legal to set off in Missouri!
- We've gone on the boat several times with friends and the youth from the ward.
- Brynlie took acting classes every day from the Coterie Theater, and was cast as one of the stars in the final production! She quickly caught on to the dance, singing and acting required in the "Pop Musical" numbers she performed.
- I've gone to lunch with friends, spent much time at the pool with other friends, and am ridiculously excited for some of them that have great news to share about babies (both pregnancies and adoptions . . .yeah!)
- I've been focused on some emotional healing through therapy. Not fun, but worth the effort.
- I am taking over as "acting president" of the YW until further notice, because the current president will be out of town for several months while she waits to adopt a tiny little boy who is in being cared for in the nicu of another state.
- Brevan spent 10 days at Scout camp, where he had the best time of his whole life (seriously) and is horribly depressed about being home again.
- We are experiencing the worst drought since 1911, and the excessive heat warnings are getting REALLY old. It's a good thing we have to pool to swim in, because this summer has been absolutely miserable.
- We are re-financing the house, which means we've been busy signing papers and cleaning the house for appraisers.
- I've attended the temple several times; with Ryan, with the youth, and with Brevan. My favorite time was watching Brevan perform baptisms.
- I finished another blog book, which means I'm only a year behind now. I've printed 6 books so far, and each of them covers 6 months of our life.
- Brevan is taking some awesome computer design classes, where he learns how to create 3D Games.
- We are looking forward to Logan's birthday this week, Ryan's friends staying with us next week, and having Ryan's parents and sister's family come to Missouri the following week.
