I'm completely phone-dumb. I consider a phone something to speak on and text with - which means I've come a long way since the days I wouldn't even text! It brings up the question as to why I own an iPhone, which could probably drive my kids to school if I programmed it right. I was just told that my Voice Mailbox is full on my phone, so no one can leave a message. I thought this was odd considering I didn't know I have Voice Mail. Oops - sorry everyone.
As I was driving Brevan and Will to school this morning, I told them I was having an issue with my iPhone. They immediately both put down their own iPhones and asked what problem I had. I told them I had taken a bunch of pictures in the past few months and had no idea how to get them from the phone to the computer. They gave me the worst "You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me." look I've ever gotten, and told me I just needed to plug my phone into the computer. Then they grabbed my phone, and preceded to tell me how pathetic I am to still be using the SAME RINGTONE THAT WAS ON THE PHONE WHEN I GOT IT. Heaven forbid.
So I'm a big loser. Good thing I don't care. Although I did have a rude awakening yesterday when the following situation occurred:
Me, singing along to a rock song Brevan was playing outloud on his phone: {thought} I'm such a cool mom. Look at me singing along to my teenage son's music. Not only does it mean I'm young and hip, but I bet I teach my kids the lyrics by pronouncing them so clearly! Other kids must be so jealous of my kids because they have such a fun mom.
Brevan: Mom, seriously, will you stop singing? You are ruining the song.
Brynlie: {eyes rolling pretty dramatically, turns to Brevan and says}: Oh my gosh, I know. I swear she has to ruin every song. And that weird dance thing she does with her head when she listens to music while driving? It's SOOO embarassing.
Ouch.
Anyway, now that I figured out how to get my pictures off my phone, here are some snapshots from the past few months that haven't been added to the blog yet.
While sitting in Stake Conference, our Stake President told all the children in the room to draw a picture of Moroni and hand it him as soon as the meeting was over. Brynlie immediately sketched this picture in less than 5 minutes. She's so talented!
One day I noticed that all my boys were wearing Nike shirts at the same time, so I had to capture it on film. They are such handsome guys!
I took the next couple pictures while eating lunch with the girls in the school cafeteria.
This picture was taken a couple weeks ago when I took Lindsey on a "date" to Red Robin and the new Chipmunks movie at the theater. She had to bring her new doll, Lilly, along with us.
I took this picture on New Years Eve, when it was already 64 degrees! It actually warmed up to 67 later in the day. The warm fall/winter weather had continued until this week, when we finally feel like it's winter.
I took this picture last Saturday, when Brevan helped with the Special Olympics basketball activity all day. He had been working with this cute little dude, Dylan, for the past month. After we left, Brevan got tears in his eyes and talked about how much he enjoyed the whole experience. I'm so proud of this sweet guy.
