Remember that book series I'm reading called "The Great and Terrible?" Well, it may have freaked me out just a little bit. Actually kind of a lot. Since our 72-hour kits were rather out-of-date, I spent all of Monday preparing for an intense Family Home Evening, where we roll-played many disasters and assembled new kits. I ran to Sam's Club and got all the supplies we needed (along with a few other necessities . . .I can never get out of that place without spending at least $400 . . .it's ridiculous).
This time around, we didn't just put 3 days worth of food and water in our packs. We also included clothes, matches, bandages, soap, shampoo, washcloths, trash bags, etc. It was quite the extensive list, but we feel prepared for any major disaster . . .that lasts less than 3 days!

Totally know what you mean about Sam's Club! There's something just cool about being able to buy not one thing, but like 50 things in one package. :)
