Stuff I feel like saying

1. Logan is completely potty-trained. I thought Brynlie was easy to potty-train, but Logan takes the cake. No accidents in over a week, including all night long and during naps. I even ran errands with him one day and kept telling him "just a minute" when he would tell me he needed to go potty. On the drive home, I realized he was shaking in the backseat. He had held his pee for almost 4 hours! Poor little guy. I don't ever remind him to use the bathroom, and he doesn't even "squirt" all over like a certain other boy did. I tell ya, I just grow smart kids.

2. The offer is officially in on the foreclosure house. After much pleading and begging, they lengthened the bidding time to tomorrow. We put in a full-price offer, since we know there are many other offers on the property. Hopefully this blog will have good news in the next few days.

3. Today is Father's Day, and I just love my Daddy-O and my handsome hubby so much. I made yummy chorizo and black bean burritos today, and Ryan and I took an amazing 3-HOUR nap together this afternoon. I spoke with my awesome Dad on the phone for a while, and will now go speak with the Big Man Upstairs, who is the only Dad more perfect than my Dad and Ryan. I'm so grateful for all the Dads in my life.

4. Ryan and Brevan went on a scout camp-out on Friday night. During the testimony meeting at Adam-Ondi-Ahman at around 10 p.m., a torrential rainstorm hit them (good old Missouri weather . . .if you don't like it, just wait a few minutes and it will change). Then a tornado headed their way, so all the boys and leaders drove to a member's house about a mile away and hid in the basement for a couple hours. After going back to assess the situation, they found all the tents ripped apart and sleeping bags soaked. The decision was made to abandon camp and head home. The wet and tired boys arrived back home around 2:30 a.m.

5. Brevan had a piano recital last Sunday at a beautiful Christian church in Liberty. I don't have any pictures, because I was recording the recital on the camcorder. Ryan was home puking and I was barely functioning after spending the previous day praying to the porcelain god. Logan and Lindsey decided it was the perfect time to disobey, so I was constantly grabbing children and taking them out in the hallway of the church. Brevan did a fabulous job, playing two solo songs and then a recorder duet while his teacher played the piano.
