Schools out for summer!

So it's 2:00 a.m. and I'm still tinkering around on the computer. I must be really tired, because I'm watching Justin Bieber videos. And liking them. Someone please make me go to bed.

The past week has been a lot of fun! Brynlie and Brevan both performed in the Southview talent show, after being picked from almost 100 acts that tried out. I was so proud of my kiddos! Brynlie and Megan did their dance/song that they performed at the Kidfest a couple weeks ago, and Brevan played two songs on the piano that he had memorized. Ryan and I sure know how to produce some talented kids.

On the last day of school, I had the Simmons kids here for a few hours. The kids all played in the water outside, ate pizza, drank tons of lemonade and had fun decorating cupcakes with M&M's. The perfect start to summer break!

I promise my boys wear their shirts sometimes. You'd never believe it from all the half-naked pictures I have on this blog.

All four of our kids are playing t-ball/baseball this summer. Which means 4 games every week. But it's been a lot of fun to see them play! We've never done baseball with the kids before, besides a couple games when Brevan was four and got so bored out his mind that we quit half-way through the season. The kids are playing in a "Just For Fun" league, which only costs $10 for the season.
OK, I just DIE of cuteness when I watch this little tyke play! After figuring out (kinda) what was required of him, he runs all over the field (actually coming close to any of the bases is optional) yelling, "I win!" and "I hit, I catch, I throw, I score!" I love it!
Go Logan!
So he hit the tee and not the ball. No problem! Just start running! And he did. In the wrong direction.

I took these pictures at Lindsey's first game, where it POURED rain on the poor kids. Making that glove useful.
How cute is the pink helmet she gets to wear when it's her turn to hit?
After Lindsey hit the ball and got to first base, she started crying and ran out of the game. No amount of encouragement would make her go back in. I realized that we have never told her ANYTHING about baseball. The poor girl didn't even know about running the bases. Oops. We aren't a big baseball family, so it had never occurred to me! We've gone over the basics with her now, so hopefully the next game goes more smoothly!
We've taken the boat out a few times this month. The first time we went without any friends, I had to back up the trailer into the water so Ryan could drive the boat onto the trailer. I have never backed up anything attached to the truck before. Let's just say it did not go so well, and I had literally crowds of guys laughing at me.
We've also been swimming a ton at the Country Club. Logan is enjoying swimming much more this year, so it's been really fun to hang out poolside. The girls are both on the swim team, and Brevan likes to go hit some balls on the course while we're there.
And this morning, Ryan and Brynlie flew to Utah for 4 days. Ryan will be baptizing our niece, Maegan, on Saturday. Brynlie went along to see her cousins and spend some one-on-one time with her Daddy! I'm sure Brynlie will be spoiled rotten, which she deserves after getting a PERFECT report card last week. All "A's" and perfect scores in all her behaviors. Brevan did extremely well also, getting all "A's" (including 113% in math!) except in Science, where he got a "B+". I'm such a proud mama!

Stumbled across your blog from Cheryl's...I'm a Northlander too (Liberty to be exact).

I adore these pictures of the first moments of summer break. The cupcake decorating looks like a hoot!

Cute, cute, cute family!
