Brevan Day
This Saturday was Brevan's special day with me and Ryan. It's been so fun to spend quality time with the kids without the *distraction* of other kids needing our attention. Brevan's day started off with a trip to Barnes and Noble to spend his birthday money. He bought two new books that he's been excited to purchase; the final book in the Percy Jackson series, and Sent. Brevan and I agree that there is no better smell than Barnes and Noble. The hot chocolate at the cafe (which we HAD to get) and rows and rows of clean books, just waiting for us to crack them open.
Next stop was the bowling alley. We had a blast!
The look of despair after a gutter ball!
Just what we adults all want . . .close up shots of our behinds while we bend over.

I love this sweet boy!
The final score. Is it horribly sad that I'm extremely proud of my 130?
Next stop: Ginger Sue's for more lunch (the first round of lunch was at the bowling alley).
And these pictures were taken by Heather at Pack Meeting last week, when Brevan and Clayton Adams "crossed over" from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. I have got to be the worst Primary President of all time, because I still haven't learned how to sew patches on my son's uniform. Even worse, I don't plan on learning anytime soon. Sewing is an area where I am not exactly self-reliant. At our house, if a shirt pops a button, we just say goodbye to that shirt. Brad Simmons is Brevan's awesome Scout leader.
