The puppy's name is officially Maybelle, and we went to see her yesterday. We don't get to see her very often because she is living almost an hour away until she's big enough for us to bring her home. This time she was big enough for the kids to hold. All TEN puppies from two different litters were running around the breeder's family room. The kids immediately started picking up puppies to play with. Some of these pictures show Maybelle's siblings, but most of them show our beautiful little Maybelle baby.
Brevan has been determined to not like the new puppy. We've had to force him to visit her both times, but this time I put her in Brevan's lap and she immediately started settling into his arms. Is that a slight smile I see on his face? I'm sure she will win him over eventually. The other kids were all in heaven playing with all the fuzzy babies!
Ryan spent much of the time cuddling and kissing our soft little ball of fur. We love the dark brown coloring around her ears, mixed with black spots on her white fur.
Our little ball of fur has gained almost a whole pound since birth, so now she weighs 1 pound, 3.5 ounces. The breeder is estimating she will only weigh 8 pounds fully grown. We're in love!
