Lindsey is doing so much better with her anxiety lately, although she tells me it's only because she is battling it in her head.  I'm a bit concerned about her anxiety levels rising now that the soccer season is over.  Getting physical exercise helps her manage her anxiety levels better.  Lindsey's team was just incredible this year, and Lindsey was one of the best players on their team.  They scored a combined 64 goals during the season, and only gave up 3.  I've said it before, but it's almost sinful how fun it is to watch Lindsey play soccer.  The tournament began last Saturday, and the girls won the first game 10-0 and the second game 8-0 before advancing to the semi-finals and championship games on Sunday.  We let Lindsey make her own choice about playing in the Sunday games, and she chose to attend church and keep the Sabbath Day holy, much to the disappointment of her teammates.  Ryan is one of the coaches, so the other coaches were trying to pressure him to let her play, saying that he should just consider Monday the Sabbath Day just this once.  While being direct about the decision Lindsey made, we joked around with the other coaches and parents by telling them they might not want to recruit Mormons on the team next year!  Or at least have the tournament end on Saturday, since this is the third championship game Lindsey has had to miss.  But the FIRST one where her team actually won the championship!!  They got the 1st place trophy!  I'm so proud of all these girls!

Lindsey and Brynlie were fascinated by the game "Akinator" that their Grandma Springer has on her phone, so they played it the whole time she was staying with us.  One time the game guessed that Lindsey was thinking about herself, and it showed a picture of a monkey.  It cracked us up, because Lindsey is obsessed with monkeys!

These pictures were taken at the Homecoming parade the beginning of October.  Lindsey rode on a float with her soccer coaches and teammates.  It was so cold this day that Ryan borrowed the awesome frog hat from one of the kids!
