Sleepovers

I know all the theories and horror stories. I've read all the articles. I think I am fully aware of the negative side of sleepovers. But I just can't seem to deprive my children of this favorite activity. I spent years enjoying sleepovers, and {until my teenage years, and no I will not elaborate}, the event was completely innocent and fun. Lindsey has only recently started having sleepovers, and they are only at our house. Call me self-righteous all you want, but I know the kids are safe at my own house. It's sending them to other houses that I have an issue with. So the fact that none of the other moms say they want to have extra kids at their house works out well for me. Brynlie has been having sleepovers with Megan since they were only 5, and I completely trust the Smothers with my daughter. They are a very religious, moral, safe, and fun family who loves my daughter in the same way I love their sweet Megan. I know my current stance on sleepovers may become a big issue in the future when I decide to put the kibosh on them. But for now, they are a weekly event, and I love it.

This is the note that Lindsey and Carly wrote on Friday night, when they were planning out the sleepover party. It says: "1. play 2. go on a treasure hunt 3. watch a movie 4. maybe popcorn."

And of course, the girls who must have been best friends in the pre-existence. Since become BFF's in preschool, they have never had one argument.
Pizza, soda, brownies, board games. A typical Friday night at our house.
Carly, Lindsey and Logan didn't quite make it through the whole movie. They never do.
The girls who always put themselves to bed and then spend hours giggling and sharing secrets.
And as a happy side note, Brevan is having a friend over to "hang out" on Tuesday after school. My prayers will be full of hope until then.
