Keeping our fingers crossed

After getting no sleep, and realizing that Heavenly Father was giving us a definite "no" on the dream house, we saw another house this morning. I walked in and it just felt right. It has everything we need, and most of the things we wanted in our next house. The only 4 negatives were: not enough trees on the property (which is a nice size . . .2 acres), carpet on the floors of the kid bathrooms (who does that? Have they never seen how an 11-year-old boy pees?), no large pantry in the kitchen (although there's a closet in the nearby laundry room that could have rolling shelves installed to make it a pantry) and a small deck. But all those things are fixable. So . . .we made an offer. And now I'm not sleeping again, because the suspense is killing me. We should find out sometime tomorrow if the sellers accepted our offer. It feels funny to show pictures of a house we haven't actually purchased, but I wanted to share.

The home is in Kearney, in a very nice neighborhood. It is the perfect location since it's halfway between "downtown" Kearney where the school and church are located, and Liberty where I do most of my shopping and run kids to activities. I believe it has 4500 square feet.

The backyard. Imagine the football games that could be played back here!
There are some trees on the property, but we're spoiled Missourians now and hoped for more.

Double ovens. Everything stainless steel. And they will pay for granite or Silestone to be put on all the counters in the kitchen. I would get to pick the color and edging.
Pictures of the basement first. These are the stairs going up from the basement.
Basement family room on left, tons of storage through door on right.More views of the basement family room area.

Plenty of room for a large storage room and a large 5th bedroom.

Already prepared for the bathroom that will go with the 5th bedroom.
Now pictures of the top level. One of the kid bedrooms upstairs. This one would probably be the girls room, because it's huge and would fit 2 beds and all their toys.
Jack-and-Jill bathroom between this room and another bedroom.
Separate toilet area in kid's bathroom.
I think another view of the Jack-and-Jill bathroom.
Kid bedroom. Probably Brevan's since it has it's own bathroom.

Every closet in the house in a large walk-in.
Another kid bedroom. All the kid bedrooms are in the upstairs area.
Main level pictures. There's a formal dining room, great room, hearth room, office, laundry room, bathroom, kitchen and the master bedroom all on the main floor.
Gorgeous, curved staircase. I really wanted rod iron spindles on the staircase of the house we bought. It's a little thing, but I just love how classy it looks.
The office (which they use as the bedroom for their only child).
Walk-in shower in the Master bathroom. There are two shower heads.
Master bathroom pictures.

This picture doesn't show how large the master closet really is. There's also a stereo system on one of the shelves that plays music through speakers set up all over the whole house.

The great room, with the entrance to the Master bedroom.
Hardwood floors on the whole main level, except in the master bedroom.
Hearth room.

Large laundry room with a sink and utility closet.

If they accept the offer, it's only the first battle. Then we have to quickly get our house ready to sell, which means lots of projects. Then hopefully we can actually sell the house for a decent price in this market. Luckily the house we put the offer on is being sold at a great price, so we would feel OK about selling our house for a little less than it's worth. Wish us luck . . .

You guys are wonderful, amazing people and I am so happy you are being blessed for your faithfulness and hard work. I can't wait to hear if your offer was accepted.
