I've been working on a few personal goals, and thought I'd write them here. Maybe it will help keep me motivated.
1. I am working out at the gym for at least 30 minutes/3 days a week. It's been really hard to find the time, but I've kept (and sometimes, surpassed) my goal for the past month. It will be much easier in summer, because I wont' have to get kids ready for school in the morning, and Ryan can be home with the kids once seminary is finished. I do at least 30 minutes of cardio on the tread-climber. That thing is amazing! It burns calories faster than anything else, because it combines the advantages of so many machines into one. Some days I stay and do body toning by lifting weights and doing all those un-fun things like lunges and squats.
2. I am becoming closer with my Savior, Jesus Christ, by studying his life and teachings more this year. I have challenged myself to better understand Christ's life and the atonement. I am currently reading the New Testament and loving it. I would love to read "Jesus the Christ" this year also, but I will focus on the scriptures first.
3. I want to read at least 2 books/month that are not church-related. This is sometimes easier than other times. When I get on a roll, I can get TOO into my books, and do nothing else. But usually I don't have the time to sit down and read, and I notice a change in my life when I don't make that time for myself. I love to read. It's not only fun to escape to a different world in the words of a book, but I love learning new things in every book I read.

I need to devote more time to reading the scriptures too. I just enjoy non-religious books too much that I get caught up in reading them all the time. So you have a good goal for yourself. Keep up the exercise too.
