Springtime fun

The Easter Bunny remembered to visit our house again this year. I feel silly even talking about the Easter Bunny. Santa, I can understand. A bunny that hops around the world leaving presents? Silly. But for our kids, it's half-way through the year from most of their birthdays, so we allow the Easter Bunny to visit. Brevan got a basketball hoop that we are going to cement onto the side of the driveway. He has been learning basketball skills in PE lately, and was asking for a hoop. We think it will be a good activity for when friends come over to play. Brynlie got clothes and large sidewalk chalk. Miss Lindsey got a piggybank (which has tenderly been named Poko) and sunglasses. Logan Roy got his very own basketball hoop, which has been put to good use with his constant need to throw balls. Ryan and I got chubbier tummies from those dang Cadbury Creme eggs.

We had a couple families over to watch Conference and eat Easter dinner on Sunday; the Simmons, and a new family in our ward, the Browns. We ate a lot of delicious food, and Brevan worked hard to set up an egg hunt in our backyard. Mother Nature had different plans, and sent a large hail storm, which broke most of the eggs and left jelly beans scattered all over the yard. The egg hunt was quickly moved inside, but all the jelly beans had to be thrown away.
This kid is constantly dirty. When he wakes up in the morning, he can barely get his eyes open before saying, "Is it warm today, or a rainy day? I want to ride my bike." He LOVES being outside! Check out this face, complete with a snotty nose and tear drops running through the dirt.
And I had to get a shot of his filthy feet. He's already lost 2 pair of sandals this year, because he takes them off in random places around the neighborhood and runs barefoot.
This was another hailstorm we got last week, and I didn't take this picture until about a half-hour after the hail stopped. Crazy! We have a guy coming tomorrow to check our roof for damage. I love severe weather, and get so excited when a springtime storm comes to town!
We're enjoying the beautiful weather, which means cooling off with yummy, frozen treats. I have a feeling my tummy is going to continue to get chubbier.

Wow! Good thing gifts weren't part of Easter when you were a kid. As behind-the-times as are your parents, you would have been the only kid in town who landed nothing but eggs and candy.
