1. The leather sectional with the goldish/tan chair and ottoman to add some texture and color.
2. The leather couch with the leather chair. The chair shown here is a different color, but we would order it to match the color of the couch.
3. The leather couch with the goldish/tan chair.
4. The whole set of goldish/tan furniture (not all pictured here). It's a really neat fabric and looks great next to the paint and carpet samples, which have gold undertones.
5. The goldish/tan couch (not pictured) with the leather chair in a dark brown.
Ryan and I had to do quite a bit of compromising to come to these final choices. Ryan tends to love the biggest, fluffiest couches that look insanely comfortable and horribly ugly (in my opinion). I tend to like clean, simple lines with not a lot of fluff. So the final choices aren't completely what either of us wanted, but I think we came up with some good options.
After a whole day of shopping, we came home with nothing, but a lot of ideas. Now I have to ponder and play around with all my samples to see what I want to do next.
By the way, we got ALL the painting done on Friday!! I told Ryan I had never loved him more than when he took a day off to help me paint! You have to know him to understand that he a) is a workaholic and has a hard time taking days off and b) doesn't exactly love doing home improvement projects. He managed to ignore the cell phone and bazillion emails he got all day to work with me on the painting. The paint looks AWESOME! Most of the walls are a neutral tan (with gold and green undertones) and the back wall is "baguette," a color that looks like dark carmel. I have a thing with my paint needing to look "yummy" and I sware I might just go up and lick that wall. I get giddy every time I walk past it!
On a completely different note, Brevan and Ryan both bore their testimonies in sacrament today. I love those two boys so much. Brynlie was planning on going up also, which would have been her first time, but got too scared. She wrote down her testimony for me. I'll keep that sweet piece of paper forever.

Sounds like your basement is really coming along!
I think my favorite though is knowing your kids bore their testimony.
Yesterday I found myself so sad that none of my seminary kids...including my own kids bore their testimony. A couple of kids from the other class did. It made me feel like a total failure. I think hearing your own kids bear their testimony is a great way of knowing that you are doing a great job as a parent.
I love the leather sectional. I can't wait to have money to decorate like that. I'm a little jealous you are doing this project. Sounds like a ton of fun. Good luck!
I *heart* Nebraska Furniture Mart. Hate that it's so far away because it really does have the best prices around. I love the chair in the first picture.
I LOVED Brevan's testimony! And Ryan's rocked! You have an amazing family. =) I like it all...buy it all. HAHAHA!
