Actually, two accomplishments . . .she passed the tests to get into Beyond Basics, the gifted and talented program! My children are brilliant! Even I am shocked that my three oldest have all been accepted into the program, but I couldn't be more proud.
The second accomplishment is . . .working hard to finish another soccer season! Although Ryan wasn't technically the coach, he did almost all the coaching for the whole season. The players loved him and the parents constantly told me how great he was with the kids. He has a great Positive Pushy approach to coaching. And since this is my blog and I'll brag if I want to, Lindsey is REALLY good. She completely gets the game and has that athletic mentality. During the following pictures I took of her in action, she was dealing with horrible asthma and cried as she went in to play. As soon as the whistle was blown, she was off and determined. The league was much harder this year, but she managed to score at least one goal in every game, since she was positioned as a forward for most of the season.
Yesterday, Team Extreme played 2 games in the tournament, landing them in the semi-finals this morning. Considering it's Sunday, Lindsey made the decision to not play, even though the coach and her teammates were very disappointed. This afternoon we found out they won the semi-final game and are playing for the championship at this exact moment, minus one very cute and fast player.
