Lindsey - 1st grade
When she brought these pictures home, I asked her why she wasn't smiling very big. One thing our Lindsey is great at is being happy and smiling! She told me she had been doing her usual smile, and the photographer had told her not to smile so big. Silly photographer, we want to see that smile that brings so much happiness to us every day!
Except on rare occasions, I let my girls completely pick out their own outfits every morning. I think it helps them learn independence, even when they often pick out some very . . .interesting . . .outfits. On picture day, I have a rule that they can't wear a shirt with words, because I think it looks too distracting. Lindsey picked this shirt and dress combo that I bought at a garage sale for Brynlie about 4 years ago. Haha! Lindsey is completely fine with grabbing some jeans and any random shirt from her closet every morning. I love how low-maintenance my pig-tailed beauty is.
Brynlie - 4th grade
Bryn is having a much better year, and has made some good friends. Isn't she starting to look so grown up? One of the things I love the very most about my Bryn is that she is in no hurry to grow up. She still plays Barbies, house and dolls every day and isn't interested in trying to be a teenager like many girls her age. She always dresses modestly, and says the sweetest, most sincere words in her prayers.
And in case anyone is wondering why I haven't included a school picture of Brevan, it's because he never gave me the photo package envelope, because it was lost in the black hole he calls a backpack. He had no idea it was even in there, but he kept forgetting to ask for another one every day before picture morning. Oh well, I guess we will be getting his pictures taken somewhere else!

I had the same problem with my son Mike, who is in 8th grade. Sometimes I think They should pin important notes to the Jr High School kids before they send them home!
Good grief lady you are offically mother of the year. I just read through a few of your post and you are a busy woman who managed to keep on top of things, throwing awesome parties, attend school activities, go to book clubs, and be a good friend to those in need. Look at your cute kids too! Tell them Sister Sessions said they need to always remember how hard their mom works for them, and to always appercaite her!
