Wasting Time

I have so much to do.  I actually filled up the entire front and back of a piece of paper with all my "to-do's" that have to be done this week.  So why am I sitting at my computer?  Sometimes having too much to do overwhelms me and I just have no idea where to start.

It's been an emotional week.  "My" sweet Brenda has been suffering through a horrible miscarriage the past few weeks, and it just kept getting worse.  After losing so much blood that she was passing out and having seizures, she had surgery to remove the remaining part of the fetus.  It's not exactly how she was hoping this pregnancy would turn out.  She's been wanting that little baby for 5 years, so I was completely heartbroken for her.  Now she's being told it will take weeks for her to gain back her energy after such extensive blood loss.  Trials suck.

Conference was great, but not as relaxing as I had hoped!  Although I had a plethora of delicious food, activities, pillows and blankets, the two youngest children were just not interested in the whole event!  It was wonderful to see Brevan take so much out of Conference though, because he's been struggling with some personal issues lately.  At least I can always go back and listen to the talks again when I don't have children arguing and whining non-stop.

Food is ordered.  Brisket, pulled pork, baked beans and jalapeno corn to feed 100 people.

Cupcakes are ordered.  3 flavors, all designed in a Pac-man theme, to total 150.

All decorations have been purchased and are (almost) ready to be hung quickly next Friday.

One of Ryan's best friends, Nate Hughes, and his wife have purchased airline tickets and will be in KC on Thursday so they can help surprise Ryan.

7 tables and 65 chairs have been obtained.

Tablecloths and centerpieces are ready to go.

DVD of old-school MTV videos from the 80's has been created.

Digital trivia games almost finished being created by my awesome 13-year-old neighbor, Will.

"Just Dance" with 80's songs being assembled for the dance-off.

Prizes have been carefully selected and are ready to make their debut.

I better get back to that long list.  But look at everything I've accomplished so far!  Yay me!
