We are official boat-owners! We own 1/3 of a very nice boat, and can't wait to spend some time on the water this summer. Some friends of ours purchased the new boat last year, and have decided to let us buy a portion of the boat. Ryan is ecstatic, because he has been wanting to purchase a boat since we got married! I always had reservations about purchasing a boat, because I didn't want to feel guilty about NOT boating every weekend when we had other activities going on. I'm very pleased with this arrangement, because we split up the days of the summer, and get to have a boat 33% of the time, and don't have to feel guilty (or pay) for the other days. Plus, the boat is stored in the large shed of one of the other owners, has a brand-new trailer, and comes complete with many fun "water toys!" We plan to take the boat on nearby lakes many times this summer, and have a big vacation planned with Ryan's family down at Tablerock Lake in July. We are so excited!

Every time I read your blog I miss you guys so much! I'm so excited for the new boat. I know you have wanted this for a long time. I might be a tad bit jealous but I'll get over it some day.

I am seething with jealousy! My husband is not a boater, and since I was practically raised on a boat, this has pained me for sooo many years! Hope you have a fabulous time with your new toy!
