New news

Lindsey has known her alphabet for some time, and loves to play school with Brynlie. One day I realized she was starting to read on her own. That poor third child had to ask me to PLEASE take her to the library so she could get some easy books to read. We checked out about 10 books, and she has been reading like crazy. What a big girl! I'm so proud of our smart kids!

Logan has a brand-new Diego potty seat. Not that it has been put to use yet, because he throws it anytime we mention the toilet, and screams, "I will NOT use the potty seat! The toilet is scary! I love my diapers!"

Brynlie won an art contest at her school, so the picture she drew will go on the cover of the yearbook! She literally spends hours every day drawing. I started buying paper by the case at Sam's Club, because I was constantly running to the store to buy more paper.

Brevan is doing so well in piano! His teacher is so impressed with how quickly he masters the songs. He enjoys learning the "Classics," and likes to write down the notes to many songs he hears. He is very musically talented.

I am looking forward to a girls trip to Arizona with my mom and sisters next month! Sunshine and good times with my favorite girls! I am enjoying my calling, now that I'm settled in with a new presidency. Yesterday there was a little boy in Primary who was upset, so I held him on my lap down by the Bishop's office. His mom needed a break, since her husband is in residency to become a radiologist. He screamed for a while and then relaxed enough to fall asleep on my lap and start peeing. I didn't want to wake him up, so I continued to hold him for the next half-hour until church got over. The men around were totally disgusted, but I guess I'm a real mom because it didn't really faze me. I figure pee is better than poo or puke, and I deal with those pretty regularly! I did walk right into the shower when we got home, since the smell of the pee was starting to nauseate me by that point.

Ryan is still hobbling around on his hurt ankle. Hopefully he will be back to normal soon, because he misses playing basketball with the guys. He is enjoying a new challenge at work, and keeping busy watching all the March Madness games.

That's us in a nutshell!
