Bookworm

I've been a complete bookworm for the past month. It's driving my husband crazy because he thinks we need to do silly things like hang out together and have actual conversations. What a weird man.

I've read a couple by Jodi Picoult that were only OK ("Keeping Faith" and "Vanishing Acts") and one that I really liked ("Nineteen Minutes"). I also read "Sundays at Tiffany's" by James Patterson, and liked the story minus the swear words and one scene that was a little too "hot" for my liking.

Next up: "The Book Thief," which has been recommended to me by a few friends, "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom (anyone read that one yet?), and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," for a fun read.

I'd love more suggestions!

I have the same problem. The Book Theif was very good, but it takes a while to get into it. I just finished The Uglies. It was very good too.

I loved the Book Thief. I read that one last summer. One of my favorites. I read all of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series too and liked them a lot. They were fun reads. You should join Goodreads. Have you read the Goose Girl or the Sugar Queen? Those were two books I really liked as well. I have not read a book for a few months. I've started a few but just haven't been able to get into them. I've lost my reading desire, temporarily I hope. Happy reading!

I just finished "Austenland", which I liked, and "These Is My Words", which I loved. Now I'm reading the sequel, which is called "Sarah's Quilt" (and I know there's also a third in the series). "The Book Thief" is in my library bag now, waiting to be read.

I know I probably read different books then you do, but I'm reading The Book Theif right now and it is good, but same as the other book you talked about.....it swears, mostly in German, but still. I also read The Uglies and I am trying to get a hold of the second book, The Pretties! Besides that, I don't have any other recommendations!

I wish I read more. Maybe someday. I love your blog! Seriously, motherhood makes us crazy. But these kids of ours are worth losing a few brain cells. You make me feel normal.
