2. Ryan and I painted the 20 foot walls in our entryway/front hallway. They look so great! I'm proud of us for doing it ourselves rather than hiring someone.
3. Brynlie posted on Instagram asking her friends to comment their Snapchat name. I turned to her and said, "Bryn, why would you need your friend's Snapchat names if we made you close Snapchat?" Silence. "Hand me your phone. It's in time-out for a week or so." The waterworks started.
4. Brevan came home from school emotional, wanting to talk with me and Ryan. He's realizing it's a critical time of his life where the choices he makes will alter his future. It was reassuring, scary, surreal and fun to have that conversation. I've learned that kids won't want to talk when it's convenient for me, so I have to make myself available when they choose to open up.
5. I got in my 3rd car accident of this winter. This time in my brand-new SUV. For the record, it was not my fault this time because someone cut me off in the roundabout, but I'm still not able to laugh at the absurdity of taking another vehicle to the auto body shop.
6. Logan scored 3 baskets in his basketball game and has become quite the star player on his team. It's ridiculously fun to watch him concentrate during his games!
7. Lindsey mastered her roundoff-backhandspring combo in gymnastics. She must have been switched at birth, because I'm not sure my womb is capable of creating so much talent.
8. Brynlie got a PLATINUM award at her dance competition! PLATINUM!
9. I spent hours every day planning the last-minute details of our Disney trip. We leave in 10 days!
10. I have 105% in my Math class. I'm kinda rocking college.
11. Bella got spayed last week. She had to be at the doggie hospital all day, and we missed her. She was super sore for the next couple days, so we gave her extra hugs and kisses. It's a good thing the vet told me it was time for her appointment, because I had no idea my puppy is old enough to create more puppies. In preparation for her "big snip," I read this online:
"Dogs become sexually mature when they're between 6 and 12 months of age. Females in heat urinate often to attract male dogs with the scent of their urine. This will cause a line-up of neighborhood male dogs at your door. Spaying your dog will eliminate frequent urination and bloody discharge, both of which may occur during her heat cycle."
Uh . . . come again? The things we've learned since becoming dog owners. Our kids have asked several interesting questions regarding the reproductive cycle since we explained Bella's surgery. While driving home, I overheard this conversation in the backseat:
Logan: I know the pet doctor had to cut Bella, but where on her body did she get cut?
Lindsey: Well, she didn't get cut as much as she get plugged. They plugged up the hole so the babies can't come out.
Apparently all women who get their tubes tied are just keeping future babies trapped inside.
12. I briefly considered joining a Crossfit exercise group until I realized I would have to sweat and lift stuff. Instead, I bought a bag of Lemon Oreos and took a nap.

#1 is too funny and spot on. I think Mother Nature has been downing jello shots lately.
