After much research and visiting a couple different breeders, we made our decision and put a down-payment on this cute little critter! She weighed 4 ounces when she was born on May 25th, along with her FIVE SISTERS (no boys!). Such a tiny little thing! She is a toy schnauzer, and her name has been a source of argument for weeks. At first the kids and Ryan decided we were going to name her Chalupa Batman - no kidding. I told them there was no way I was spending so much money on a cute little puppy and calling it Chalupa. No. Way. We've gone through many lists of names, settling on Maybelle, Sadie, or Milly. I'm thinking Milly fits her. We won't get to bring her home until we get back from Utah the beginning of August. By then she will be about 10 weeks old. Then the fun of potty-training a puppy will begin! I'm still a bit in denial that I finally allowed a pet purchase, because I've never had a pet in my house in my ENTIRE LIFE. This will be quite an adventure, for sure.
