Recent events of the past week include a bladder infection that turned into a kidney infection (ouch), and having no heat in the house. We called a repair guy about the furnace and had to pay him $100 to tell us we were out of propane. Who knew our heat ran on propane instead of electric? This house has been one big mystery since we moved in. $1000 later (the cost to fill the tank; ouch again), we have heat and a working fireplace. By the way, I also saw a repair guy (aka doctor) about the kidney, and will hopefully feel 100% by this weekend.
But nothing can get me down this week! I think I am more giddy than my kids, counting down the days until Christmas! I think I mentioned on an earlier post that I had all my shopping done last month. I really need to stop doing that every year, because that just means I spend all of December going way over budget as I enjoy the holiday rush. I can't help it. There are just too many things I see in stores that I know will put a smile on my family's faces this Saturday! I have all the presents wrapped and ready to go. Let the next 4 days go by quickly, so I don't get the "shopping shakes" and feel the need to run into town for just one more thing.
Now if only we could get some of that white Utah powder to fall here in Missouri. The only time you will hear me complain about 55 degree weather in the winter is when I'm dreaming of a White Christmas.

Oh no, glad the heat got back to working. A snowy day would be fun!
