I don't have much time (who am I kidding . . .I never do!) because we are going boating in a minute, but I thought I'd at least upload these pictures of some of the remodeling we've been doing. This first picture is the new mirror on the way to the basement. 
These pictures uploaded in random order, but I don't have time to play around with them. This is the new family room in the basement.
On the far wall, I plan on doing a collage of lots of family pictures over the years. On the left of the far wall is where the piano goes, but we hadn't put it back in place when I took these pictures.
My new favorite reading spot.
The tile by the back door, next to the new carpet and paint. This picture doesn't look great, because the colors are a little off. 
We still haven't gotten the TV put up down there yet. We haven't hung all the pictures yet either because I'm still trying to decide on a few things. The stores are getting really tired of me buying and returning things constantly!
The TV, Playstation and Wii will all be set up here soon. This whole process takes much longer than I first anticipated!
The color on the bottom picture is really off, but there's a leather chair for extra seating (and it doubles as the piano bench), and the console table was brought downstairs from the dining room.
The office is the other project I took on. I painted it one day while all 4 kids were home and kept coming in to "feel if the paint was dry yet." Very helpful! :)
New office furniture, curtains and baskets, but I haven't had time to decorate yet. We are going to move our huge Christ picture in here. We also have our bookcase with all the scrapbooks in this room. The chair was moved here from the family room. It's now my other favorite reading spot because of all the natural light!
And just a quick view into the main floorfamily room, to show the new carpet. We carpeted the whole main level, stairs going to the upstairs, stairs going to the basement and whole basement.
I'll update the blog with all our "happenings" tomorrow! Off to the lake now . . .

It's looking great! That's a lot of decorating (one of my FAVORITE things to do!) :)
You have been busy! I love the colors you chose for your basement. It looks like a huge room down there. I can't wait until we can finish our basement and have a nice tv room down there.
